The 46-inch Bravia XBR(R) Series LCD incorporate all of Sony’s latest technologies including HDMI v1.3 features such as x.v.Color and Deep Color. Additional features like Motionflow 120Hz enables smoother motion when viewing movies or fast-action sports. Full HD 1080 means 1920×1080 pixels and 1080p video inputs. Bravia Engine PRO with Digital Reality Creation(TM) upconverts all interlaced and progressive video signals including HD signals directly to 1080p for amazing detail and sharpness. Achieving smoother, natural motion reproduction starts with the right performance characteristics such as the ultra fast panel response times. Sony’s Advanced Contrast Enhancer (ACE) builds on contrast ratio performance of 2000:1 Contrast Ratio. The Contrast Ratio of up to 2000:1 is achieved by using real-time image processing to adjust the contrast along with optimizing backlight levels. Blu-ray movies are filmed at 24 frames per second (fps) and prime time TV programs are video taped at 24p.
