Toshiba shows an LCD panel that can display 2D and 3D images simultaneously on the same screen at SID 2010. The prototyped panel is equipped with a special panel with GRIN lens and the typical color LCD. The means of the”GRIN (gradient index) lens,” which changes the distribution of refraction indexes by controlling the gradient (orientation) of liquid crystal molecules.

LG plans to showcase the world’s largest 84-inch UHD (ultra high definition) 3D panel at the Society for Information Display (SID) 2010 in Seattle, Washington. Ans also will showcase a 47-inch 3D LCD panel that uses a liquid lens, while the company’s also pushing its IPS technology, with a 47-inch HDTV, a 32-inch monitor, and a 9.7-inch smartbook on show.

Sharp has announced the first four-primary-color 3D LCD television set for availability later this year. The new television will require you to wear special glasses, as do most 3D sets, and claims the new screen is about 80% brighter than conventional models, boasting the significantly brighter screen than its competitors.
