The native contrast ratio of 30000:1 (dynamic contrast ratio of 1000000:1) provides an exceptionally rich blacks and whites beautiful. An anti-reflective filter keeps unwanted reflections to a minimum. The TH58PZ800U includes a built-in NTSC / ATSC / QAM digital tuner to receive standard definition, high definition content and digital cable. The set includes 4 HDMI connections, which allows the transfer of high definition video and audio via a single cable.

The connectivity of Viera TH-58PZ800U starting with 3 HDMI inputs on the rear panel and a 4 available forward. A VGA-style PC input (1366×760 pixels maximum resolution), with 2 component video inputs, AV input with composite or S-Video, one RF antenna or cable, and an optical output analog audio. I just received my TH-58PZ800U. WOW. What a nice picture! Clear, sharp, vivid colors. I was contemplating getting a 61-inch Samsung HL61A750. I went to Best Buys to compare it with others. I noticed the plasmas were all brighter looking. After doing more “review” searching, I read about the Panasonic. I am very happy that I spent more money on the Panasonic! The Panasonic is replacing our Sony 55″ DLP. We noticed a lot more detail in the HDTV and the colors are outstanding!! Amazon had the best pricing – especially with the “White Glove” delivery. A very quick delivery – 3 days before the “estimated” time. They brought the TV into the great room, unboxed it, set it on the stand and placed it in the cabinet. A quick hookup and all checked out OK. They advised to “keep” the box for awhile. They were very courteous and helpful. I would highly recommend getting this HDTV and get it from AMAZON!! Also the AVS Forum has excellent information on this model with great “tweaks” and setup info.
