LG to show off 31-inch 3D OLED prototype display at IFA 2010

LG plans to show off the 31-inch OLED prototype display at the 2010 IFA Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin. This new 31-inch, 2.9mm thin OLED display, which LG has claimed this is the world’s thinnest OLED TV. According to the press release, the 31 incher will support both 2D and 3D display modes, with 2D mode running at a 600Hz refresh rate.

When judged by its aesthetic value and form factor, the LG prototype 3D OLED display is ideal for a nice LCD desktop monitor replacement for those with very large wallets.

LG isn’t word on any retail pricing suggestions for its prototype design.
