The LG 47LG90 47-Inch LED Backlit provides for the ultra-high 1,000,000:1 high contrast and LED backlighting that provide more natural color representation with whiter whites and richer blacks with the added LED local dimming technology benefit of increased energy efficiency. Combined with uncompromising style of an elegant blue accent and distinctive lower edge, it an ideal HDTV for any home theater enthusiast. The local dimming LED technology found in the 47LG90 is similar to that in the newly announced Samsung Series 9 and Sony XBR8 series.

Other features of LG 47LG90 47-Inch LED Backlit are TruMotion 120Hz processing for sharp and crisp images during fast motion scenes with no judder, 24p real cinema, and also intelligent light sensor and AV mode (Sports, Cinema etc) for the optimum viewing conditions, LG’s proprietary XD Engine technology which converts low-resolution analog signals to near high-definition levels to provide better picture quality. Its “Intelligent Sensor” evaluates surround settings with its 4,096 sensing steps to produce optimized picture quality.
